GrooveVault opened in November 2008 as a record shop with a small repair bench in the back. Sixteen years later it is a 220-square-metre house of vinyl and analogue audio in the heart of Exarcheia, with a basement workshop, a showroom of restored vintage hi-fi, and a calendar of Wednesday listening sessions that has run uninterrupted for eleven years. We are independent, family-owned, and stubbornly slow. We close on Sundays and Mondays. We never run flash sales on used vinyl. We never grade a record more generously than it deserves. We came to vinyl through engineering, classical music and a stubborn refusal to accept that compressed audio was the future — and we are still here, three turntables later.
